Martin Capstick

Martin joined the board of LondonEnergy Ltd in January 2021.
Since December 2017 he has been managing director of the North London Waste Authority (NLWA), which is the sole shareholder in the company. As managing director he leads the Authority’s work to promote the circular economy; to secure safe, responsible and cost effective disposal of waste; and to deliver new state of the art facilities through the North London Heat and Power Project.
Prior to joining the NLWA Martin had 29 years’ experience in central Government, principally in Environment and Transport Departments. His latest roles involved major infrastructure projects including HS2 and new high speed rail lines in the north of England and developing regional transport strategies with greater collaboration between central and local government on investment priorities.
