Be Kind Campaign Supports Recycling Teams

This month, we proudly launched our “Be Kind” campaign to spotlight our dedicated teams across North London’s seven Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs). You may have noticed our “Be Kind” posters around the centres and on social media, encouraging positive interactions and respect for staff.

Our RRCs welcome hundreds of visitors each day, with our friendly staff always ready to help manage waste disposal efficiently. Unfortunately, reports of verbal and physical abuse toward our employees have been rising, with incidents now almost a daily occurrence. According to the Environmental Services Association, these incidents represent only a fraction of the abusive behaviors our teams experience, as many go unreported.

We are incredibly grateful for our RRC colleagues’ hard work and their daily dedication to serving our community. Abuse toward staff will not be tolerated—our teams are here to help, and we ask everyone to join us in fostering a respectful environment at all RRCs.
