Please allow enough time to unload your rubbish and recycling before our centre closes. If you arrive 10 minutes before closing time with lots of items to unload, or there is a queue of cars ahead of you, you will not be allowed in.
Pre-booking system
If you are coming in a van, trailer or stripped vehicle, you need to book in advance using our van booking system. This includes any vehicle without seats fitted in the back including minibuses with seats removed and crew cab type (pick-up) vehicles.
Restrictions on hardcore, rubble, soil and stones
Each north London household can take DIY waste capable of fitting into two 50-litre bags, four times in any four week period. This includes concrete, brick, stones, pebbles, sand and gravel.
Site rules
Height barrier restriction: 1.75m.

Commercial/trade waste

Other information and services
Furniture reuse
Furniture provided at this RRC goes to the Reuse shop, located within the Kings Road RRC, Waltham Forest, where they are inspected and safety checked. Items in the shop are priced affordably offering residents the opportunity to get an item they need or want for a fraction of the cost if purchased new.
Furniture such as upholstered furniture without a fire label, with missing parts, damage that may make the item unsafe or which fail the quality inspection for any other reason will not be accepted at the shop, but will be sent for recycling where possible.
Charity Waste
Eligible charities can take up to five tonnes of non-hazardous waste/recycling each year, free of charge, to three of our Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs): Summers Lane, Hornsey Street or South Access (in the London boroughs of Barnet, Islington and Waltham Forest respectively). Read more on Taking Charity Waste to one of the Centres.
Free DIY materials
You can collect DIY materials like bricks, slabs, tiles or timber for free from this site. Please note that the materials change every week so we might not always have what you’re looking for. If you’d like to drop off or collect any DIY materials from this recycling centre, please speak to a member of staff. Unwanted materials in good condition can be dropped off at any reuse and recycling centre and will be made available through this scheme.
